Overview

This guide explains how to rename a device in the AccuSite system via the Assets page. Renaming devices helps maintain clear and organized inventory records. Follow the steps below to update the device name. Changes may take a few minutes to propagate across the system.

This guide applies to users with access to the AccuSite Assets page.

Steps to Change Device Name

  1. Access the Assets Page: Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the page, then select Assets from the dropdown menu.
  2. Locate the Device: On the Assets page, find the device you wish to rename and click on its current name.
  3. Enter Edit Mode: Click the pencil icon next to the device name.
  4. Edit the Device Information:
    • In the Edit Information window, delete the existing name.
    • Enter the new device name.
    • Click Update to save your changes.
  5. Wait for Update: Allow a few minutes for the new name to update across the system.

Additional Notes

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit assets in AccuSite.
  • If the name does not update after a reasonable time or you encounter errors, refresh the page, check your internet connection, or contact support.
