Inventory Management Updates
- Optimized Reconciliation Handling: Resolved issues with serial number tracking during reconciliation for greater accuracy in inventory records.
- Improved Large Inventory Performance: Redesigned the system to handle extensive item loads more efficiently. This prevents delays, boosts performance, reduces storage requirements, and ensures faster processing and seamless synchronization with the portal—even for large inventories.
Workflow and Usability Improvements
- More Flexible Inputs: Updated quantity and dose input fields to accept a wider range of formats, enhancing usability.
- Fractional Dose Support: Added support for managing fractional doses, particularly for vaccines like Afluria.
- Refined Item Tracking: When selecting or scanning an item for dispensing, the system will notify you and prompt for action if the item details lack lot and expiration information.
- Enhanced Inventory Management: During dispensing, items approaching their expiration date are prominently displayed for easier selection and better inventory rotation.
Reliability and Fixes
- Refined Stability: Fixed issues that occasionally caused disruptions during large or complex workflows.
- Enhanced Error Handling: Resolved rare cases of unexpected system behavior to provide a smoother user experience.
Dispense Prompt Updates
This section details the updated prompts and workflows for barcode scanning during dispensing. These improvements ensure accurate tracking and user notifications for better inventory control.
1D Barcode Scanned
If a 1D barcode is scanned, AccuShelf will notify you that it does not contain lot and expiration details. You can then:
- Rescan: If a 2D barcode is available.
- No: Select the item with the desired lot/expiration from available inventory.
2D Barcode Scanned (Not Next to Expire)
If a 2D barcode is scanned but it's not the next to expire, you'll be notified. You can then:
- No, Go Back: Pick the next-to-expire item and rescan.
- Yes, Dispense: The item details will update to match the scanned item.
Patient and Inventory Dispense
If the scanned item is not available in the selected inventory program, you'll be notified and must select an available item.
EHR Orders Dispense
If the scanned item is not listed on the order for dispense, you'll be notified and must return to the Patient order to scan item(s) contained on the order card.
