Please be aware of the following information when storing vaccines or other items in the auxiliary storage compartments of AccuVax.
- These are the two side doors on the front of the AccuVax unit.
- Absolutely no frozen vaccines can be stored in these compartments.
- The storage compartments are +1 degree nominal from the AccuVax reported fridge temperature.
- For Celsius, this means if we are displaying 5.0 C in the fridge, the compartment is at 6.0 C.
- For Fahrenheit, this means if we are displaying 41.0 F in the fridge, the compartment is at 42.0 F
- Please note that if the ambient temperature of the room goes above 34.0 C (or 93.2 F), then the compartment will not hold temperature and all vaccines stored in the compartment should be removed. Note we have seen this occur over the weekend in the summer at locations that turn off their HVAC or A/C.
- A warning will show on the AccuVax unit and on the online portal when the auxiliary door is left open for more than 30 seconds.
